A Chupacabra of my very own!!

We are "fostering" her until a forever home can be found.

Her name is Tallulah, meaning "leaping water". She is a Manx cat, around 5-6 weeks old. Her hair is the weirdest color I've ever seen on a cat. Part of what makes it look so strange is that there are dark grey guard hairs over blondish under hairs. It makes her look bald but she isn't at all. Her belly is distended because she had worms but the rescuer had her treated for all worms so that should be gone by the end of the weekend, I hope. We are watching for Manx Syndrome and I hope, hope, hope, she doesn't have this and is just having worm or kitten issues.

Anyway, that's that. Ryan managed to find the loose snake tonight, thank God! I didn't post about his escape but did write some of my commenters about it. We will be releasing it at the park tomorrow or Saturday.

Molly, Thanks for visiting my post yesterday. I didn't get back to everyone yesterday. My daughter has a Manx cat. They adore her. I hope your foster Manx will be OK. I think you must have a big heart. Smile. And I don't want to know about that snake.LOL

Hugs...Jeanne

What a pretty kitty! I'm just a sucker for baby animals.

A loose snake?! We had a loose newt once. I was sure it was going to be found dead months later under the fridge or stove, but it showed up in a few hours walking across the living room.

Then there was the time a chipmunk ran in the door... and a bird flew in... and a flying squirrel came down the chimney. It's like Wild Kingdom here.

She's so cute...I hope she gets healthier...you're lucky I don't live closer, or I'd run over and snatch her...then again, it sounds like you have a lot of loose snake problems...eeek!

Awe! so cute.... I don't know what Manx Syndrome is. Interesting fur! I sure hope she is well and will find a great home!

Hi.

I clicked on your name, somewhere ... Purple Squirrel, maybe?! I thought I'd say hello because I'm also an unschooler. (Our daughter is 16.)

So sweet about the kitten. We have quite a few rescued animals, and oh how I wish that I could rehab and rescue more.

out of all the mythical, blood sucking creatures out there, the Chupacabra is almost certainly the sneakiest
