thrifted afghan pictures...

I just LOVE this afghan!! My mom's mom had one and I have always wondered where it went. I'm sure some cousin has it but mom thinks it may have been donated. No telling, that was well over 20 years ago. Anyway, I've never seen one in a thrift store til now and this is a beauty! There are several squares in need of shoring up with some matching yarn but that can wait til we get back home, it won't unravel before then. Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures, it was late at night and I've got no editing software on this computer.

That is a beauty. I made one once, but my tastes changed and I think it ended up at a thrift store. My tastes have changed again, and now I wish I had it back. Enjoy yours.

That is beautiful. I have one stuck in a closet somewhere that my step-sisters gave me when my step-mother died. It badly needs some major repairs. They thought, since I crochet, I could fix it and then maybe also make a duplicate so they each could have one. Supposedly it was made by some great-grandmother or something. I guess I ought to get the full story from them before I decide what to do with that project!

My mom has made afghans like that... granny squares, right?
She always trimmed hers in a beige color, I love it in the black!

Wonderful! I see them from time to time, but I never pick them up...I guess my interests lie elsewhere...silly me!
