Wow! That is so beautiful! I've never been to Texas but you've totally changed my image of your state......I guess I had imagined it uniformly arid and less lush.
For all of my indecision about choosing something aeneous it never once occurred to me photograph the creek!
Oh Sharon, this wasn't in Texas!! Sorry to mislead you! This is the Carolina Hemlocks National Forest in western North Carolina about 40 miles or so from Asheville, maybe 5 miles from where my parents live.
Texas, however, does have lush forests! I live in the big middle of the Piney Woods. I'll have to get some pictures of our area to share.
And yes, Basil is quite the pigger, he's very cuddly. Cavies do well in cool air, just not drafty or windy.
I am a crazy cat lady, a fierce mama bear, a soulmate, a lover of nature and life...
I have many irons in the fire so I'm not real deep here, just jotting things down for myself. Depending on which blog you are reading, you will find pictures, ramblings, quotes, and/or recipes. You are most welcome to follow along as I go.

I'd love to see pictures. Our town used to be called Piney Island because it is surrounded by North and South Piney Creek!
